I am Hanyun, a filmmaker based in New York. I have been making short films since 2018, and never thought of quitting since then. I am also a writer, an artist, a music lover, and an adventurist. On this page, you can find my past works, my upcoming series, and the art I want to share.

New Films:

Please Hold: a short narrative film about a young girl who desperately tries to keep a tradition she shared with her recently passed father - but trouble arises. Will be submitted to film festivals.

Basket on the Plateau：a short documentary about a Tibetan monk boy who has a burning passion for basketball. It is under the process of post-production.

Hanyun is a filmmaker based in New York who just completed undergraduate degree in Film Studies at Barnard College of Columbia University. With a passion for storytelling, Hanyun has been creating short films since 2018 that explore the complex emotions and experiences of the human condition, using visual language to convey the depth and nuance of her characters. She is especially intrigued by the ways in which time and space are manipulated in the cinematic medium and how they create endless possibilities in story tellings, and she frequently employs these techniques in her work. With a keen eye for detail and a dedication to her craft, Hanyun is poised to make her mark in the world of filmmaking.
